Reporting expectations
Specify accepted case types, report status, authorisation and responsibility for final sign-off. Confirm which reporting arrangements are available.
Clinical governance
Set the clinical scope, verify professional eligibility and agree how findings, questions and changes will be communicated before reporting begins.
01 / People & scope
Before commencement, verify relevant qualifications, competence, professional registration, licensure and institutional credentialing for the proposed scope and jurisdiction. Confirm any required hospital privileges and appropriate professional indemnity.
A qualification does not by itself establish permission to practise in another country. Professional authority and contracting requirements need assessment for each proposed engagement.
02 / The working framework
Specify accepted case types, report status, authorisation and responsibility for final sign-off. Confirm which reporting arrangements are available.
Define how critical, urgent and unexpected significant findings are communicated and acknowledged, with escalation when the intended recipient cannot be reached.
Agree procedures for report amendments, discrepancies, incidents and feedback, including notification, review and learning. Preserve a clear record of changes to reports.
03 / Accountability
Identify the accountable clinical lead, the responsible contacts at each organisation and the route for unresolved clinical or operational concerns.
Specific governance processes and supporting evidence are addressed as part of service due diligence.
